The Fansipan - Sapa Cable Car Began Operating

In the February 2, 2016, the Fansipan - Sapa Cable Car began operating.


Fansipan - Sapa cable car was started in May 11/2013, by SUN Group was investment and implementation with consulting, design of the cable car company Doppelmayr Garaventa - the No.1 cable car company in the world.


Altitude at 3.143m above sea level, starting from the Muong Hoa valley to the top of Fansipan - "roof of Indochina" in Vietnam. Each cable car cabin can accommodate up to 30-35 guests, a capacity of up to 2,000 passengers transported / h, shortening the time to move to the top of Fansipan to 15 minutes instead of 2 days travel by route dangerous .

Ticket: 600000 VND /pax (around 30 usd), and 400000 VND/ for kid from 1m - 1,3m tall, under 1m free.

Climbing Mount Fansipan 5 Days

Tackle the challenges of an ascent on Mount Fansipan, Indochina’s highest mountain. it’s an adventure climb through wilderness, past isolated hill tribe villages and spectacular rice terracing. A steep two and a half day climb takes you to the roof of Indochina, affording views over spectacular mountains in both China and Laos. Sleep in the forest high up on the side of the mountain and eat excellent food cooked over an open fire.


Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai (Rail)

Royal's car pick up from your hotel to Hanoi train station for the night train to Lao Cai station.Over night on the train.


Day 1: Lao Cai - Sapa

Morning transfer from Lao Cai to Sapa. Motorcycle and trek to the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai and the Dao and Dzay village of Ta Van. Afternoon return to Sapa for welcome dinner and introduction to the Fansipan summit.


Day 2: Climb Fansipan's lower ridges (elevation 2200m)

Rising early, you follow your H’mong porters down into the valley past Cat Cat village and the Linh Ho river. Then you begin your ascent through rice fields and forest, climbing to a jungle camp at 2200 meters. Dinner in the forest.


Day 3: Establish base camp below Fansipan summit (elevation 2900m)

You continue up through forest until it begins to give way to bamboo at 2400 meters. Higher still at 2900 meters the bamboo clears affording wide views back down into the Sapa valley and the mountains around. Base camp established. Night under the stars.


Day 4: Summit ascent (elevation 3143m)

After an early breakfast, Togethe with Royal’s tour guide you begin your final ascent to the summit at 3143 meters. From the top you can look out into China and Laos. Free time at the summit. Afternoon return to first camp.


Day 5: Return climb to Sapa

You can take your time climbing back down to Sapa where a hot shower, cold drink and other conveniences of the Royal Sapa Hotel are at your disposal. Transfer to Lao Cai for the Royal Sapa night train to Hanoi for departure.


Last night: Lao Cai - Hanoi

Up, Just sleep on the train (soft sleeper with air-condition), arrive in Hanoi early morning (4:40 AM), our guide pick you up and drop at your hotel. Tour end.


You maybe meet "Love Market" on Saturday night.


Note: Trekking to the top of Mount Fansipan is possible for most people, but you must be reasonably fit and not afraid of walking up to eight hours a day, on steep slopes. We also camp on the mountain side and prepare our food over the fire. The best months to climb up Mount Fansipan are March, April, October and November. Also note that it can get very chilly towards the summit.

Sapa hard trekking 6 nights / 5 days

(Sapa, Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, Ta Van, Seo Mi Ti, Seo Trung Ho, Ta Trung Ho, Ban Ho, Nam Tong, My Son, Thanh Phu, Nam Cum, Sin Chai B, Sapa)

Day 1: Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van (14 km / 7 hours)

Have breakfast at hotel before trekking to the remote village. This trek goes along Hoang Lien mountain range, which offers you many opportunities to enjoy view over huge rice paddy terraces in the largest valley of the area, Muong Hoa. After lunch at a nice spot, you descend into the bottom of the valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Ta Van village of Dzay minority by following a very popular trekking route. Tonight, you will stay in a traditional house of Dzay minority. And you can take a walk to enjoy the valley view as well as swim in the river.

Day 2: Ta Van - Seo Mi Ti - Seo Trung Ho (9 km / 6 hours)

After breakfast, you start with mostly uphill trekking until lunchtime. Whenever you stop for a rest, you will witness beautiful valley view. Before noon, you stop again at a nice spot for lunch. The trek will be softer in the afternoon while the scenery becomes even more beautiful. You pass by Seo Mi Ti village of Black Hmong minority before reaching a Seo Trung Ho for the dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Seo trung Ho - Ta Trung Ho - Ban Ho (9 km / 6 hours)

The trek today takes you through beautiful rice paddies and over old suspension bridges. You will trek on small trail sneaking through rainforest. Approximately, you arrive in Den Thang village of Black Hmong by noon. Here you will have lunch either near by a river or in a local school according to the weather. After lunch, the trek will become tough on tinny footpath going up and down, which requires a lot of concentration. The next destination of today is Ta Trung Ho village of Red Dao minority where you have a break before trekking to Ban Ho village of Tay and Dzay people. Dinner and overnight in Ban Ho.

Day 4: Ban Ho - Nam Tong - My Son - Thanh Phu (11 km / 7 hours)

You are now at the fringe of the rain forest by the Hoang Lien Son mountain range with Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina with its 3,143 m. You will start the trek today by ascending to Nam Toong village of Red Dao minority. Here your lunch will be prepared in a local school. After lunch-time, you descend to the valley where locates My Son village of Xa pho minority, one of the smallest groups ethnic in Northern Vietnam. From there you take a short walk to Thanh Phu village of Tay minority. Here you spend the night in traditional house of the Tay. You can take a walk to explore local daily life while your dinner will be served with Vietnamese dishes.

Day 5: Thanh Phu - Nam Cum - Sin Chai - Sapa (10km / 9 hours)

Today's trek will be relatively short and soft. Once leaving Thanh Phu, you follow the trekking route built in the bottom of the valley, which offers the best view to the surrounding mountains. After lunch-time, you continue the walk toward Sin Chai village of Red Dao minority where you will experience the night stay in bamboo huts. You will be attracted by the wonderful hospitable atmosphere of the Red Dao. A private car pick you up and take you back to Sapa for the shower before transfer to Lao Cai for the night train back Hanoi. Dinner at Lao Cai. End your trek journey.

Sapa Trekking 5 Days 6 Nights

Sapa Trekking 5 days 6 nights, travel by train, visiting Ban Ho, Thanh Phu village, Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, home stay for life experience.

A former French hill station, located in the middle of the breaking landscapes in the north of Vietnam, Sapa is one of the most wonderful places in Asia and is a magical combination of landscapes, ethnic cultures and bracing mountain air.

There are excellent areas for hiking through lush mountain valleys to the remote villages of different minorities, including the Black H'mong and Red Dao...
Lao Chai - Ta Van - Ban Ho - Thanh Phu with 10 valleys of 5 different minorities.

Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai (Overnight on the train)

Royal's bus picks up you from your hotel to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train to get to Lao Cai station. Sleep on the train (4 peoples / cabin on request).

Day 1 : Lao Cai - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van
(4 hours trekking, 14 km, 2 villages)
Picked up at Laocai Station early in the morning by our bus. Arrive at Sapa round 8:00 am; Breakfast start at 10h30 to get to Lao Chai village. Enjoy the overall pictures of the villages among terraces. Visit the H'mong living in wooden and bamboo houses. Continue going to Ta Van village to visit the Day minority. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner and overnight at home stay. Stay the night in Ta Van village at a Day family.

Day 2: Ta Van - Ban Ho
(7 hours trekking, 18km, 3 villages)

Breakfast with the local family and then get to a village located at the foot of Hoang Lien Son range via bamboo forests. Visit a waterfall and a rattan bridge. After visiting Giang Ta Chai village, get down to the river, cross it and keep going to Su Pan village for 2 minorities - The H'mong and the Red Dao. Get off the road to go down hill to Ban Ho village. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the family. Overnight at Ban Ho with a Tay family who have houses on stilts.

Day 3: Ban Ho - Thanh Phu
(7 hours trekking, 15 km, 3 villages)

Get up early in the morning for fresh air and peaceful daily life of the people. Breakfast and leave the village for a hrd day. Walk uphill to a smallest and almost untouched village of the Red Dao (Nam Tong). Go further to another village on the same side of the mountain range to see the Xa Pho ethnic group in Nam Ket. Get down to the river and go up to Mison to visit the Xa Pho again. Spend the night in Thanh Phu village at a a Tay family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner with the local family. Overnight in home stay.

Day 4: Thang Phu - Sapa
(12 km with 4 hours trekking and 23 km by jeep)
Breakfast at Thanh Phu village. Walk back to Su Pan village where Vietnam Royal's jeep car take you back to Sapa. On the way back, visit the ancient stone circle (stones decorated with ancient carvings which are said to have described the life of the people lost in the mists of prehistory). Lunch at Su Pan and dinner at Sapa. Chick in hotel. Overnight in hotel.

Day 5: Cat Cat - Lao Cai and back to Hanoi
Breakfast, visit village of the black H'mong (Cat Cat), walk around visiting people int he village and the hydroelectric power station built by the French in the old days. Back town have lunch and check out hotel, free to explore the town until take bus to get to Lao Cai Train station for the night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on thr train.

Last night: Lao Cai - Hanoi

First night: Hanoi - Lao Cai

Day 1: Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat Village - Sapa Town

5.30am - Arrive in Lao Cai. The bus ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour, giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. You'll have breakfast and early morning shower in hotel, tour starts at 9.00 am, flow guide and walking down to Cat Cat Village, take nice pictures on the way, you have a chance to come in Black H'Mong house with their traditions and see waterfall on the big space, then walking up town to check in and get lunch in the hotel. About 2:30 pm, our guide companies with you walking city tour to see Sapa market and cathedral (was built by French) and go shopping, back to hotel get dinner, take your night time and sleep at the hotel.

Day 2: Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van

After breakfast, you will start the day with an easy trek on dirt paths to Lao Chai Village. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the valley with its traditional stilt houses and rice terraces, get picnic lunch on the way, then ahead to Ta Van Village to see Day tribal with their traditions and house. Arrive at Home Stay surround 3:00 pm and take arrest here, then walk around the village (possible to swim on the Muong Hoa river), back home stay to get dinner and cheer with family, and over night.

Day 3: Ta Van (Home Stay) - Giang Ta Chai - Sapa

After breakfast, you will start the day with a few hard trek, up and down the mountain pass bamboo forest on dirt paths to Giang Ta Chai Village. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the valley with its traditional stilt houses and rice terraces, high waterfall with Red Dao tribal, and picnic lunch near Rattan bridge. After lunch, walking up main road to catch Royal's bus back hotel to take shower and get dinner before transferring to railway station to catch the night train back Hanoi.

First night: Hanoi - Lao Cai
